Momodou L Kanteh was appointed Head of Compliance of FirstBank Gambia Ltd in March 2018 with responsibilities of developing and upholding Compliance principles and standards that align with regulatory & statutory provisions and First Bank’s Compliance risk management framework. He is also the Company Secretary of the Bank.
Over the course of his extensive career, he has garnered expertise in Banking operations, Credit risk, Internal Control, Internal Audit, strategy design & execution, and Compliance. Momodou holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics/Finance and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA). He is the secretary of the Committee of Chief Compliance Officers of Banks in The Gambia and a certified member of the Association of Certified Compliance Professionals in Africa (ACCPA).
