Alasana Jabby
ED/BDM
Alasana Jabby is a Graduate of United States International University – Africa, located in Kenya
outskirts of Nairobi. He did MBA with finance option and BSC accounting in the year 2000 and
2002 respectively.
Mr. Jabby worked at the Department of Cooperatives as senior registrar in charge of auditing all
the registered cooperative marketing societies (CPMS) and the cooperative credit unions. In 2003
he went on secondment to the Federation of Agricultural cooperative Societies (FACS) as senior
accountant helping to oversee the groundnut trade season of 2023.
In late 2004 Mr. Jabby joined the Central Bank of The Gambia as an accountant in charge of the
treasury unit. Later in 2007 he moved to Guaranty Trust Bank as deputy manager and rose through
the rank to the position of Deputy General Manager. During his tenure in the bank, he worked
briefly on the commercial desk but later transferred to the retail desk as relationship manager,
group head and finally divisional head.
Alasana currently is the Executive Director & Business Development Manager (ED/BDM) of
FirstBank Gambia Limited, a subsidiary of First Bank of Nigeria Limited.
